Herbert J. Sims & Co. Inc. is a privately held, full-service investment banking firm founded in 1935 that specializes in underwriting tax-exempt and taxable revenue bonds. Since underwriting the nation’s first tax-exempt nursing home revenue bond issue in 1965, Sims has completed more that $8 billion in financing for aging organizations. It is the only investment banking firm devoted entirely to structuring and placing financing for long term care organizations. Sims was the first designated banker for the AAHSA Development Corp. in 1987.
