• Buying long term care insurance just got easier! A new New York state law increases the tax credit for long term care insurance premiums from 10% to 20% for taxable years beginning in 2004. The credit applies to premiums paid during the tax year for qualifying long-term care policies. The credit is also available to employers who pay premiums for qualifying policies for their employees.
