Why you should join the New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging?

The New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (NYAHSA) is your organization's direct link to:

  • immediate delivery of up-to-date information on long term care;
  • expert assistance and advice from NYAHSA's staff of consulting professionals, policy analysts, and legislative advocates;
  • a wealth of data that can be applied to day-to-day efficiencies;
  • networking opportunities on the state and local levels that will enable you to share ideas and discover opportunities for working together - alliances that may prove crucial in today's climate of competition and diversified services;
  • conferences and seminars that foster professional education, growth, accreditation, and career enhancement; and
  • cost-saving products and services that will help enhance your operation and increase efficiency.

NYAHSA is the only association in New York state which represents the entire continuum of not-for-profit, mission-driven and public long term care providers, including nursing homes, senior housing, adult care facilities, assisted living, continuing care retirement communities, and community service providers. NYAHSA is supported in its mission by The Foundation for Long Term Care, a research-and-education affiliate, and NYAHSA Services Inc., a for-profit subsidiary that gives members access to money-saving products and services. Another NYAHSA affiliate, the Adult Day Health Care Council, represents medical model adult day care programs across the state. NYAHSA is the state affiliate of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA). Those who join NYAHSA will also benefit from all AAHSA programs and services.
